The short version

• The Nocturne apps collect nothing. Your work stays on your computer.
• This website uses Google Analytics only if you accept it, and you can change your answer at any time.
• We hold your email address only if you write to us and, once checkout opens, if you buy.
• We do not sell personal information.

The apps

Nocturne Read, Speak, Apply and Lens run entirely on your computer. There is no account, no sign-in and no telemetry: nothing you open, say, look at or paste is uploaded, and nothing about how you use the apps is reported to us or to anyone else.

The apps go online in exactly one case, and only when you ask: if you paste a job link into Apply and press Fetch, it downloads that public page from the job site. Nothing of yours goes with the request. Paste the posting as text instead and no request is made.

What the apps keep, they keep on your computer, where you control it. Dictation transcripts can be deleted one by one, all at once, or set to clear themselves, and the Insights counts can be reset.

This website

Analytics, only with your consent

If you choose Accept on the cookie bar, we load Google Analytics to see which pages people visit and how they reach us. It records the pages you view, roughly where you are in the world, the kind of device and browser you use, and the site that sent you here, tied to a random identifier stored in a cookie. Google processes this information on our behalf. If you choose Reject, Google Analytics is never loaded.

You can change your answer whenever you like. The Analytics choices link, here and at the foot of every page, clears your choice, removes the analytics cookies and asks again.

Buying

Nothing is for sale yet. When checkout opens, payments will be handled by our payment partner, who will process your payment details; we will receive your email address and the details of your license. This page will be updated before that happens.

Your choices and rights

• Withdraw analytics consent at any time with the Analytics choices link.
• Ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@withnocturne.com and we will answer within 30 days.
• Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

The website and the apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
